Week 3

Third week we weren't able to do much because I wasn't in class. But what we were going to do was call other places that offer volunteering. We searched on google volunteer opportunities and found a good amount of volunteer opportunities for the 20% project. This Wednesday we are going to call the places we found and see if any of them are still accepting any volunteers. There was one for the American Red Cross for December & we are gonna see if that one is still available for volunteers. We are hoping to find something before December where we can volunteer so we can record what the project is about. But we shouldn't worry because there are more places we have that have that accept volunteers. We will call all of them on Wednesday to see which one we can volunteer at.

Week 2

This week my group & I called the foster care to see if we could volunteer there. Unfortunately they didn't answer us so we had to leave a message telling them where we are from & if we can volunteer with the kids.They haven't called us back yet to tell us if we can or can't volunteer. If we aren't able to volunteer, then we will keep looking for other foster homes we can volunteer at. Our other choice for our project still has to do with volunteering, but we are just going to look for other volunteer opportunities where we can help out others. With that we will record small bits and pieces of every place we volunteer at. We will put it all together, talk and show where we've been volunteering & what we've been doing. Most of all we will show how we're making a difference in someone else's life.

My 20% Project

At the moment we haven't done much for our 20% project. But we are planning on going to visit an orphanage and read books to them or just basically spend time with them & give them company. We are planning to go every Wednesday to the orphanage. Before we actually go visit the kids we are going to call a couple of orphanages to see if they are available for visitors. We are going to read to the kids and bring them toys to play with.  We are probably going to go for about a month or two. We are going to record our progress, take pictures, and make a video of what we did throughout the time we went to go visit the kids. This will make a change in the kids lives because if they don't feel loved we will try to make them feel like they matter & that's why we plan on going for about a month or two maybe even longer so they can be accompanied.
